Turbidity is the term to describe the amount of particles in the water, affecting the visibility for divers. Green colored water is the worse visibility, and requires extra precautions to stay with your dive buddy, especially in drift diving.
I can understand turbid water as I sit in the house and look at the usually deep blue water from Sabang Beach to Verde Island which is now green as grass! I have not been diving for over a week, the weather is terrible here now! Hope it is better where you are!
