Just got my hands on this month's
Men's Journal and I was pleasntly surprised to see a fine article there on freediving. Entitled
Real Men Don't Use Scuba Tanks, the article examines the rapidly growing popularity of free diving, that is, a sport based on the art of plunging hundreds of feet down and back on a single breath. It's too bad the Men's Journal site is so bad. They hardly post any articles and the design is Web circa 1999. But what are you going to do?
Anyway, I'm guessing that folks here are already tuned into free diving, but if not, here's a nice primer for you. There's also a very informative entry at Wikipedia about freediving that's worth a glance.
