Without doubt, hunting sunken wrecks is a very speculative adventure. A business, endeavor, or hobby which motivates many people to attempt the sometimes impossible dream of finding treasure, and the fame that often accompanies the find.
In 2004, after many months of wrangling with the cash strapped island of Jamaica, American salvagers cut a deal. We may never really know the deal, but treasure is at the heart of strange bedfellow dealings.
